I hereby give notice that by order of the Parish Council in pursuance of Schedule 12 Paragraph 14(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 the Annual Parish Meeting will be held in the North Somercotes Village Hall on Wednesday 6th April 2022 from 6.30pm where the following will be discussed:
AGENDA
1. Welcome from Chair of the Meeting – Mr Steve Brooks, and introduction of those parishioners whom may be present who serve as Parish Councillors (Stuart Arundel, Neil Drewery, John Kennedy, Roger Maidens, Danny McNally (also Lincs County Councillor and East Lindsey District Councillor), Trisha Newman, Lynda Plater, Shaun Smalley, David Wallis, Paul Walmsley) plus Sheila Pearce (Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer) and Paul Rickett – District Councillor
2. To receive the previous Minutes from the meeting held by Zoom video on Wednesday 5th April 2021 and for those members of the Parish present to approve these as a true record of that meeting
3. Parish Councillor & Chairman Stephen Brooks – brief summary - written update available if required
a. Current status of the English Coastal Path Proposals and Public Footpath Access on PROW FP28
b. Chapel Field Affordable Housing Development - completion of development and use of proceeds
c. Refurbishment of Public Toilets - £10k National Lottery Grant Funding
d. Refurbishment of Cemetery Chapel Doors and Woodworm Treatment
4. Proposals for Purchase of a Beacon or purchase of furniture, to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
5. Consultation with Parishioners on the proposals to acquire additional land for burials/ashes and the implications for any increase on the precept of the Public Works Loan required to achieve this
6. Comments/questions to the Parish Council from Parishioners on village issues and services

All government electors registered for the parish and in attendance are members of the Parish Meeting. All members of the public are welcome to attend and speak on any matter of local interest, HOWEVER VOTING ON ANY ITEM MAY ONLY BE DONE BY NORTH SOMERCOTES ELECTORS. This is not a Parish Council Meeting, but it is Chaired by the Chairman of the Parish Council in accordance with legal requirements. Councillors attend Parish Meetings as members of the public
