The magazine was established in 1975 to serve the communities of North and South Somercotes. A free copy is delivered to every household, 10 issues per year. Revenue from advertising is the main source of income, plus generous donations.
All work to prepare and deliver Communication is done voluntarily, and 970 copies are printed by Warple Press, Louth. Readers supply articles, news of village organisations, Church Services, and North and South Somercotes Parish Councils contribute to each issue.
Communication is an invaluable register of local trades- people, especially to newcomers to the villages, and over the years has generated a huge amount of business revenue.
