Meeting

Members of the Council are summoned to attend the Parish Council meetings of North Somercotes Parish Council in accordance with the Local Government Act 1972.  
Parish Councillors are also required to attend during the Public Session

Members of the public are invited and welcome to attend the whole meeting (except for items where their presence is prejudicial to the public interest), and are permitted to make representations to the Council, answer questions and give evidence (up to 3 mins per person/subject) in respect of any item of public business listed on the Agenda during the public session, which is normally 15 minutes before the start of the formal meeting.  The meeting may only consider the business on the Agenda; the Agenda and Minutes for the Parish Council Meetings are available on the Parish Notice board, or from the Clerk, or on the parish council website, together with the schedule of future dates and the Public Participation in Meetings procedure - see http://parishes.lincolnshire.gov.uk/NorthSomercotes. Please note meetings of the Council may be recorded.  Please see website, or contact the Clerk for agenda/minutes, or to confirm venue.

**All government electors registered for the parish and in attendance are members of the Parish Meeting.  All members of the public are welcome to attend and speak on any matter of local interest, HOWEVER VOTING ON ANY ITEM MAY ONLY BE DONE BY NORTH SOMERCOTES ELECTORS. Please note that this is not a Parish Council Meeting, but it is Chaired by the Chairman of the Parish Council in accordance with legal requirements.  Councillors attend Parish Meetings as members of the public.
