I hereby give notice that by order of the Parish Council in pursuance of Schedule 12 Paragraph 14(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 the 2023 Annual Parish Meeting will be held in the North Somercotes Village Hall on Wednesday 5th April 2023 from 6.30pm where the following will be discussed:
AGENDA
1. Welcome from Chair of the Meeting – Mr Steve Brooks, and introduction of those parishioners who may be present who serve as Parish Councillors (Stuart Arundel, Neil Drewery, John Kennedy, Roger Maidens, Danny McNally (also Lincs County Councillor and East Lindsey District Councillor), Trisha Newman, Lynda Plater, Shaun Smalley, David Wallis, Paul Walmsley) plus Sheila Pearce (Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer) and Paul Rickett – District Councillor
2. To receive the previous Minutes from the meeting held on Wednesday 6th April 2022 and for those members of the Parish present to approve these as a true record of that meeting
3. Parish Clerk – brief summary of council activities over the last year - written update available if required
a. Current status of the English Coastal Path Proposals and Public Footpath Access on PROW FP28
b. Purchase and rental of Woolpack Meadows Property
c. Village oil scheme
d. £5k grant for Zero Carbon project to change the lights in village hall and Luke Walmsley Pavilion
e. Coastal bid monies – £2k for replacement litter bins and planters
f. £1k grant to purchase items for the Youth Club including Karaoke Machine, Zorb Balls, Outdoor Tennis Table set
g. Digitisation of the cemetery burial records and location of graves to meet statutory duty to keep such records
h. £530 Grant from District Councillors towards Jubilee bench and trees for Cemetery/Playing field
i. over 600 free trees/hedging saplings arriving in March for the Cemetery and playing field
6. Comments/questions to the Parish Council from Parishioners on village issues and services
a. future of Post Office services in the village

NOTE
All government electors registered for the parish and in attendance are members of the Parish Meeting. All members of the public are welcome to attend and speak on any matter of local interest, HOWEVER VOTING ON ANY ITEM MAY ONLY BE DONE BY NORTH SOMERCOTES ELECTORS. This is not a Parish Council Meeting, but it is Chaired by the Chairman of the Parish Council in accordance with legal requirements. Councillors attend Parish Meetings as members of the public
